For a second consecutive year, the iconic Turtle Island in Fiji has been crowned the No.1 Resort in the South Pacific by Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards and included in their Top 100 Hotels in the World.Turtle Island, founded in 1980 by entrepreneur and eco-visionary Richard Evanson, is the sole Fijian property to make the winners list this year and is the highest rated resort in the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand with an outstanding ranking of 95.81.

Now in its 25th year, Travel + Leisure collected the results of hundreds of thousands of people that took part in the annual World’s Best Awards survey which was conducted before the pandemic. The results just released revealed the greatest islands, cities, hotels and airports as voted by their readers worldwide. The magazine has said they hope to inspire future travel with this year’s results.

Turtle Island Resort received excellent rankings on service, location, facilities, quality, dining, and overall value. Travel + Leisure said “With only 14 villas — and, thus, a maximum of 28 guests across its 500 acres — this family-owned property reigned supreme among secluded tropical paradises.”
