Four restaurants within the Oriental Pearl Tower, the iconic landmark in Shanghai, will be the scene of an extravagant food festival that is setting alight the city’s culinary world from November 15 to 30, 2019

The food festival will bring together the cooking passion and expertise from the Pudong hotel’s Chef Nicola Frizzale of Four Seasons Hotel Pudong, Shanghai and Si Ji Xuan Chef Wang Jun of Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai alongside the skilled teams within the Oriental Pearl Tower’s venues. A blend of modern creations and old Shanghai classics will display the diverse personality of Shanghai’s food scene.

Dine in The Sky

271 metres (890 feet) in the air, the Pearl Tower’s hallmark restaurant is a high-end private space located with unrivalled views of Huangpu River. The experienced catering team provides VIP butler service, a lavish temperature-controlled wine cellar and customised chef’s menus.

Four Seasons Chef Nicola Frizzale will create an exotic “Dine in the Sky” menu for the 271 Restaurant. Growing up in Altamura, Chef Nicola ‘s native background ensures complete authenticity of Mediterranean cuisine. With more than 15 years’ culinary experience, he is proud and knowledgeable of the region’s cooking heritage.

Advance reservation is required for the 271 Restaurant private dining room and it only serves one table per day for up to 10 guests.

Italian Specialty

In addition to the tailor-made menu at 271 Restaurant, Chef Nicola will also work with the culinary team of Oriental Pearl Tower to present a series of Italian signature dishes in the Revolving Restaurant and Coca-Cola Happiness Restaurant.

The 1,500-square-metre (16,100 square foot) Revolving Restaurant located 267 metres (875 feet) above the street gives all diners a rotation of 360 degrees every two hours, offers stunning views of the city. The world’s only Coke-themed interactive restaurant, Coca-Cola Happiness Restaurant, provides international feel-good food as well as a place for family entertainment.

Shanghai Memories

For those who love Chinese food, try the No. 8 Old Shanghai Restaurant on the ground floor of the tower for a taste of authentic Shanghainese cuisine.  The restaurant is decorated with the timeless delicacy and charm of Shanghai.

During the food carnival, guests will find ten signature dishes from Si Ji Xuan, the Michelin Plate awarded restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai. Head Chef Wayne Wang of Si Ji Xuan has more than 30 years of Chinese cuisine experience. These selected dishes offer the tradition and nostalgia of Shanghai cuisine with a creative twist.
