For the first time at Melbourne Airport we have had two tails fly 787-10s in two days, into our airport. On Thursday a Singapore Airlines’, Boeing 787-1, plane landed into Tullamarine just after midday and departed as a repatriation service at 14:03pm the same day.

Then on Friday, a Vietnam Airlines’, Boeing 787-10, plane arrived into Tullamarine just after 3pm and departed as a repatriation service at 4:25pm.

Although Greater Melbourne is under Stage 4 restrictions to slow the spread of the coronavirus, the airport remains open for essential domestic services, international outbound repatriation flights and freight movements.

Currently, the airport is facilitating flights for approximately 1,500 people per day.
