Tourism Australia this week announced the appointment of Sally Cope as its new Regional General Manager for the UK, where she will oversee Australia’s fourth largest international inbound tourism market.

Cope will vacate the position of Executive Officer of Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia (UWEA), Australia’s leading wine tourism consortium which represents the country’s best winery experiences at many of its most well regarded wineries.  UWEA currently benefits from close ties with Tourism Australia, as part of its Signature Experiences portfolio.  The search is now on for Cope’s successor, a tourism executive with a proven track record and the vision to take UWEA into the next phase of development.

Chairman of UWEA, Nick Baker, says,

“The incredible work Sally has done at UWEA offers an exciting foundation for a new Executive Officer to build on. The organisation is going from strength to strength, cementing its reputation within the Winery and Tourism industries as a real leader in its field. We thank Sally for helping establish this position and leaving such a strong platform for the next EO to take into the future.”

UWEA continues to expand its product offering, with the launch of its latest catalogue of experiences for 2018/19.  The UWEA collection now boasts over 100 published experiences which can be booked individually or combined into bespoke itineraries.

With this year’s expansion of the membership to 22 wineries and the variety of new overnight and multi-day experiences on offer, UWEA reinforces its position as the foremost wine tourism consortium representing Australia’s best winery experiences.
