“More and more women are making Utah a destination for high adventure travel together and family experiences,” said Vicki Varela, managing director of the Utah Office of Tourism. “Our rich history in the suffrage movement is one more reason to book a trip.”

The #SheTravelsUtah initiative is consistent with the sustainable tourism industry goals of the office’s recently released Red Emerald Strategic Plan to attract and distribute quality visitation to authentic and uniquely Utah experiences through powerful storytelling.

“Utah already has so much to offer female travelers, our team was incredibly motivated to elevate the voices of women through content and gr3ow enthusiasm around lesser known aspects of our state’s history,” said Rosie Gochnour Serago, the content strategist who spearheaded the initiative for the Office of Tourism.
