UTracks, Australia’s leading active European holiday specialist has produced a four-minute spectacular and informative video on travelling along Italy’s pilgrim walk, the Via Francigena. Off the back of their very popular Spanish Camino video, the new Italian Camino video is an ideal and convenient way for travel agents to quickly understand the experience from the accommodation and walking distances to the terrain and how the route is navigated.
“The historic Via Francigena stretches from the Italian Alps to Rome, offering a perfect self-guided experience in Italy without the crowds,” said UTracks Camino Specialist Jaclyn Lofts.
“In 10 years’ time we predict that the route, which is fast becoming a popular alternative to the Spanish Camino, will be on every active traveller’s bucket list. But for now it’s virtually unknown.
“UTracks offers a Full Via Francigena as well as walking and cycling itineraries along sections of the Italian Camino. On average, most people do a week long itinerary along one section of the trail, with the last 100km into Rome being the most popular,” continued Lofts.
In addition to the overview video, six short videos highlighting individual sections are also available. The videos will assist travel agents to become instant experts and be able to sell the Via Francigena confidently.
