UTracks, the active European holiday specialist and Camino expert, is joining forces with Antipodean film makers Fergus Grady and Noel Smyth to promote their much anticipated documentary feature ‘Camino Skies’ as it premieres in Australia on Wednesday 31 July 2019.
Off the back of five sold out sessions at the Doc Edge Film Festival and sold out screenings in New Zealand, this is the inspirational true story of six strangers from Australia and New Zealand overcoming grief and joining together to complete the historic Spanish pilgrimage, the 800km Camino de Santiago.
Each ‘Camino Skies’ movie-goer has the opportunity to experience the life-affirming journey for themselves with a chance to win a trip for two on an eight day UTracks self guided ‘Camino -Sarria to Santiago’ tour*, worth over $4300.00.
The prize* includes seven nights twin share accommodation, daily breakfasts and six dinners, luggage transfers on walking days between hotels and clear maps and directions. As part of the prize package, UTracks will contribute $800 per person toward international flights.
The popular 115 km Sarria to Santiago de Compostela section is the last leg of the Camino Frances and walkers qualify for the the official Compostela certificate.
The Australian debut of Camino Skies will be held at the Cremorne Orpheum Cinema on Wednesday 31 July with Q&A by the documentary makers. The film can then be seen in each state capital and several regional centres from 01 August 2019. Many showings will also have director Q&A.
