On June 27, Vietjet is honored as one of the leading companies in the “Vietnam’s 50 Best Performing Companies 2018” award ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City. This event is to announce and honor leading companies listed in Vietnam stock market including Vingroup, Vietjet, FPT, Vinamilk, Mobile World, etc.

“Vietnam’s 50 Best Performing Companies” is conducted annually by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine (Investment Bridge Magazine) in cooperation with Thien Viet Securities consulted by leading economic and business experts from Harvard Business School, referenced from world ranking charts such as Bloomberg Businessweek, Fortune and Forbes in order to seek and honor efficient listed companies.

In its eighth year of successful surveying and ranking, the “Vietnam’s 50 Best Performing Companies” award measures the business results of companies in three consecutive years from 2016 to 2018, based on revenue growth rate, Return on Equity (ROE) and Earnings per Share (EPS).

According to the results announced at the award ceremony, Vietjet’s SR-CAGR (Compounded Annual Growth Rate) and ROE are 39.24% and 59.7%, respectively. Market capitalization reaches 2.68 billion USD, Vietjet is also among the largest capitalized enterprises on the stock market. This is the three year in a row since the listing on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange; Vietjet has been honored in a special reputable award for Vietnamese enterprises – the pride of Vietnam in the international arena.

Vietjet has been a pioneering airline, winning the hearts of millions of passengers thanks to its exciting promotions, entertainments. With high-quality services, diverse ticket classes, Vietjet offers its passengers flying experiences on new aircraft with comfy seats and delicious hot meals served by lovely, dedicated and friendly cabin crews, and many more enticing add-on services. In 2018, Vietjet carried more than 23 million passengers, implemented 118,923 flights with 261,000 hours of safe operation, load factor reached 88.06%, technical reliability reached 99.64% and other safety indicators were on top of Asia – Pacific region.

Vietjet has continued to successfully protect the certificate of “IATA Operational Safety Audit” (IOSA) (only 8.6% of the airlines in the world have obtained this certificate), and completed the evaluation according to ISO 27001 standard in 2018. Vietjet is rated by the international organization AirlineRatings as a 7-star safety rating – the highest level of airlines worldwide. AirFinance Journal also ranked Vietjet in the 22nd position among the top 50 best airlines in the world in terms of financial indicators.

50 companies won awards this year has a total of market capitalization of 98 billion USD, including 17 companies with market capitalization exceeding 1 billion USD. Enterprises in the top 50 generated 514.9 million USD and 5.4 billion USD in profits, up 52% and 47% respectively over the same period last year. In the context of unsustainable global economy due to impacts of economy, politic and trade war…, what Vietnamese enterprises can do in 2018 still showed the potential for strong development, sustainability, ability and strength from the leading Vietnamese enterprises.

At the ceremony, hundreds of influential business leaders, financial institutions, macroeconomic executives, prestigious domestic and foreign investors also participate in the talks about 2019-2020 Macroeconomic forecast, international trade war and benefits of Vietnamese enterprises, two-generation management opinion and business leadership, etc.
