Virgin Australia General Manager Network and Revenue Management, Russell Shaw, said the airline was excited to be offering this first-time deal to families.

“We want to be the airline of choice for families and we’re always looking at ways to make travelling easier and more enjoyable for them, so we got together with Tourism NT and developed this deal to make the journey to Darwin a little bit more special,”

“The NT is a fantastic destination for families, and an important market to Virgin Australia, so we’re really proud to be launching this initiative and boosting tourism over the tropical summer season,” Mr Shaw said.

Tropical Nights is a unique family experience at Crocosaurus Cove in celebration of the Bruce Munro: Tropical Light exhibition, opening in Darwin on 1 November. Tropical Nights at Crocosaurus is set to enthral travellers with roving entertainment, light performers, special reptile handling, kids’ face painting and a big croc show.

Tourism NT Executive General Manager Marketing, Tony Quarmby said the move by Crocosaurus Cove and Virgin Australia will provide travellers with an additional reason to consider the Top End when choosing their next getaway with such big savings to be had.

“Not only will we have another uniquely NT event open in the Territory with the Bruce Munro: Tropical Light exhibition, but our positive difference will continue with the huge savings Virgin Australia and Crocosaurus Cove are providing travellers visiting Darwin,” said Mr. Quarmby.

“The partnership, coupled with the opening of Tropical Light and a host of other tourism experiences set to launch during tropical summer, will no doubt drive greater numbers of people to visit the Top End during a time when the wildlife is in abundance and billabongs, rock pools and waterfalls are at their majestic best,” he said.

Tropical Nights at Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin will open from 5.00pm – 6.30pm every Wednesday and Friday from 1 November 2019 to 29 April 2020.
