Independent public relations and communications agency Anne Wild & Associates (AWA) continues to expand its Travel & Lifestyle division with the addition of a major new travel client, Visit Maldives – one of 2019’s hottest destinations.

This is the latest new client win in a stellar 18 months for AWA’s dedicated Travel & Lifestyle division, which has secured a raft of new travel accounts in recent months.

“Travel PR has been a specialty focus for AWA for the past 21 years and we’re excited to add Visit Maldives to our growing travel destination portfolio. Part of our remit will be building awareness of the breadth of what’s on offer in this bucket-list destination for many Australian travellers,” said Managing Director, Anne Wild.

“Combining natural beauty and crystal-clear water with action and adventure activities, water sports, superb spas, pristine beaches, sublime seafood, dive spots, surf breaks, snorkelling lagoons and traditional villages, the Maldives ticks all the boxes,” said Ms Wild.

The Visit Maldives programme remit also includes a trade relations component, and AWA will be working collaboratively with its travel trade partner, Luxury Travel Ambassadors (LTA), to drive this aspect of the program. LTA’s director Tamara Kobiolke will implement a series of trade missions and trade shows, and will engage with travel advisors and operators throughout Australia to showcase Visit Maldives’ ‘sunny side of life’.

“The combination of relaxation and adventure, luxury and authenticity, means the Maldives is the ultimate holiday destination. The choice of accommodation options is growing, and we look forward to working with the travel trade to continue the upward projection of traveller numbers from Australia,” says Ms Kobiolke.

Over the past 18 months, AWA’s Travel & Lifestyle division has won a number of new clients including the elite Myconian Collection portfolio of nine properties in Mykonos; and Fullerton Hotels & Resorts, which includes The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore, and The Fullerton Hotel Sydney which will open in October.

AWA is also Australia’s PR representative for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings – parent company for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Oceania Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line – as well as Lake Macquarie Tourism. Luxury travel advisors The Goldman Group – which incorporates Goldman Travel Corporation, Travelcall, SmartFlyer Australia, Quintessentially Travel Australia and The Cruise Centre – rounds out AWA’s Travel & Lifestyle portfolio.

“From the magical Maldives, the gorgeous Greek islands, and stunning Singapore, to far-flung cruise ports and regional Australia, the AWA team is excited to continue showcasing some of the world’s most distinctive travel destinations throughout 2019 and beyond,” said Anna Caswell, AWA’s Head of Travel & Lifestyle.
