Lythgoe Family Panto’s A Snow White Christmas – December 13-22, 2019
An updated version of the classic fairytale where Snow White joins forces with the Seven Dwarves to defeat The Wicked Queen. In the style of British Panto, audiences are encouraged to interact, booing the baddies and cheering for the hero.

Pasadena Heritage Pub Crawl – December 28, 2019
Experience the history of some famous and infamous Pasadena watering holes and haunts during a guided walking tour of Pasadena’s original downtown including stops at pubs distinctive for their history, architecture, and spirits. Attendees can delight in beer tastings plus little-known facts and forgotten lore.

Live on Green – December 29-31, 2019
The three-day family festival helps to kick off Pasadena’s New Year’s Day events for the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game.

Team Flower Conference – January 3-5, 2020
The third annual Team Flower Conference will take place right after the Rose Parade. This industry-leading event is where passionate floral pros from around the world gather to learn, grow, encourage and build bridges between sectors of the industry and our communities.

The Yoga Expo LA – January 4, 2020

Pasadena Half Marathon and 5K – January 19, 2020
Enjoy a morning sprint or jog through beautiful Pasadena, passing landmarks like the Rose Bowl Stadium, Norton Simon Museum, Pasadena Convention Center and Caltech before a majestic finish on the field at the world-famous Rose Bowl. All participants will receive a race shirt, finishers medal, post-race refreshments and a truly unforgettable race experience.

Golden State Tattoo Expo – January 24-26, 2020
The Golden State Tattoo Expo 2020 brings together some of the world’s top tattoo artists, whose exceptional work clouds the line between fine art and tattoos. Their work ranges from photo-realistic black-and-gray portraits to colorful original pieces, classic traditional images, new school comic-like illustrations and intricate geometric designs. Pasadena Cheeseburger Week – January 26-31, 2020
Pasadena honors Lionel Sternberger’s genius in being the first to put cheese to hamburger and serve it at the Rite Spot in Pasadena in 1924. Forty of Pasadena’s favorite restaurants, lounges and burger joints will offer signature burgers, creations and deals during the week-long celebration.

Antiquarian Book Fair – February 7-9, 2020
Featuring over 150 booksellers from the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America (ABAA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB), this three-day event is recognized as one of the largest and most prestigious antiquarian book fairs in the world.

The 53rd California International Antiquarian Book Fair in Pasadena California, is excited to feature Women’s Suffrage in the United States, a celebration of the science fiction and fantasy writer Ray Bradbury and the continued support of the California’s Young Book Collector’s Prize. Visitors can see, learn about, and purchase the finest in rare books, manuscripts, autographs, maps, fine prints, photographs, ephemera, and more.

Black History Parade and Festival – February 15, 2020
The Human Services and Recreation Department and volunteer Black History Parade and Festival Planning Committee will host the annual Pasadena Black History Parade and Festival. A full schedule of events celebrates the achievements of and recognizes African Americans in U. S. History. Pasadena is proud to host one of the largest Black History parades in Southern California. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m., and a festival at Robinson Park immediately follows the parade.

Pasadena International Film Festival – March 11-19, 2020
Films will screen at the Laemmle Playhouse 7, panels and presentations will take place next door at Vroman’s Bookstore, and Lineage Performing Arts Center will serve as a nightly filmmaker’s lounge. With over 100 film screenings from 15 countries, enjoy features, shorts, documentaries, music videos, animation, and web series.


Tournament of Roses® SIP & SAVOR – December 28-30, 2019
Eat, drink and celebrate at the Tournament of Roses® SIP & SAVOR, where the spirit of SoCal food, wine and entertainment come alive over three days in the shadow of the legendary Rose Bowl Stadium.

Tournament of Roses® Float Decorating – December 28-31, 2019
Experience the magic of the floats before they make their debut in the 2020 Rose Parade. During the final stages of preparation, a variety of seeds, bark, fruits and vegetables, grasses and of course, flowers are being applied to the floats by experienced professionals as well as hard working volunteers.

Equestfest – December 29, 2019
Watch beautiful horses and talented riders perform drills and dances and demonstrate trick riding and roping. Attendees can also stroll through the stables, talk to riders and learn about the various equipment that the riders use. Also, learn about many different breeds of horses while enjoying the vendor court, displays, great music, food and drinks.

Bandfest – December 29-30, 2019
Bandfest presented by REMO will feature the outstanding bands selected to participate in the 2020 Rose Parade. Over the course of two days, each band, along with its auxiliary performers, will present the field show that has led to its success.

Rose Bowl Bash – December 31, 2019
The Rose Bowl Bash is a one-of-a-kind event that celebrates college football and the excitement of the Rose Bowl Game. The one-day event will take place at The Bloc plaza (Hope and 7th Street) in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. The event is free to the public and includes a beer garden, games, exclusive Rose Bowl Game merchandise, photo activations that include the Rose Bowl Game trophy, and entertainment—including a DJ booth and participation from team bands and cheer squads. Other local merchants will also be available to attendees.

131st Annual Tournament of Roses® Parade – January 1, 2020
Located along Colorado Boulevard, and flanked by VIP grandstand seating for the best views, the mid-winter festival celebrates the best of Pasadena, where whimsical, floral covered floats, massive marching bands, decked-out horses and other ornate participants parade for five and a half miles, led by 2020 grand marshals Rita Moreno (actress, EGOT recipient), Gina Torres (actress) and Laurie Hernandez (2016 Olympic gymnast, author, philanthropist). This year’s parade theme, “The Power of Hope,” encourages people to aspire to do better and never give up hope.

106th Rose Bowl Game – January 1, 2020
The game will feature a traditional matchup of teams from the Pac-12 and Big Ten. Come early and enjoy pre-game activities including tailgates, Rose Queen and Royal Court appearances, and more. Teams will be announced in December.

Tournament of Roses Post Parade Viewing – January 1-2, 2020
Post Parade is a great way to view the floats up close following the Rose Parade and see the workmanship that went into each entry. These beautiful masterpieces will be parked along Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards spanning over two miles. Tournament volunteers “white suiters” will be on hand with helpful information about the float process.


Moonlight Forest Magical Lantern Art Festival – November 9, 2019 to January 12, 2020
Moonlight Forest is a fantasy of lights that takes you to new places. Dive under the sea with exotic fish and a giant shark in the new Ocean Visions exhibit. Next step into a winter wonderland with the new Polar Dreams experience featuring playful penguins and cuddly sled dogs. Enjoy other themes and entertainment by live acrobats, dancers and other performers plus free parking.

Noon Year’s Eve at Kidspace Museum – December 31, 2019
Kidspace is the place to celebrate the new year early with the whole family. Ring in the (almost) new year with live DJ’s, party hats and more as Kidspace counts down to the stroke of noon.

ArtNight Pasadena – March 13, 2020
ArtNight Pasadena occurs twice per year (March and October), where the city’s most prominent museums and cultural institutions open their doors for free and offer special programming. Attendance reaches 28,000. Complimentary shuttles are available to transport visitors around to different venues. Begin your evening at any one of the venues on the shuttle route and make your way around until your back at your starting point.
