Matthew Cameron-Smith, newly appointed CEO of Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia and his predecessor Grant Hunt, now on the Voyages Board as a Non-Executive Director, marked the ‘changing of the guard’ with a visit to Uluru and Ayers Rock Resort last week.

Please find attached a couple of images from their visit marking the changeover as official.

This was the first opportunity for both to catch up given the flights have now resumed from Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney into the NT. During the visit, Cameron-Smith enjoyed meeting the resort team and seeing for the first time, the extensive refurbishment of the resort which were completed during lock down.  This encompassed extensive upgrades at the five-star Sails in the Desert including all guest rooms and suites, the lobby, pool and restaurant; completion of upgrades to The Lost Camel, and the replacement of toilet blocks and bathrooms in the popular Campground.  Improvements to the airport infrastructure were also made.
Ayers Rock Resort is delighted to be open and looks forward to welcoming guests back to experience the spiritual heart of Australia.
