Envious of the neighbour’s garden? Feel that you have been destined with a black thumb? The Inside Dig workshops at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and Centennial Parklands will inspire you to try your hand at gardening again.
The series is designed for beginners that are looking for a boost in gardening confidence or just don’t know where to start. The Inside Dig series will be held from February to July 2018 and each session will incorporate a different theme or gardening topic based on the season.

The first workshop will explore the topic of ‘Edible Gardens’ with a focus on growing herbs and vegetables, planting techniques and choosing the best plants for your garden. Followed by a pop of colour during winter and finishing with the ultimate fan favourite, succulents!

“The Inside Dig is a unique workshop that aims to share expertise and insights on gardening in a relaxed and friendly setting,” said Wendy Symonds, Visitor Experience Manager, at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.

“With a range of gardening experts, hands-on techniques and a complimentary glass of wine – this is a unique and fun environment to learn and spend time with friends. Today many of us are living in homes that don’t have traditional, large gardens. Instead we can make the best of our small spaces and still enjoy the benefits of gardening.”
Regardless of your level of experience, participants will be left with a newfound budding confidence and the tools to enjoy a new hobby. So, be it a backyard garden, a balcony pot or a window box, this series is a great way to learn the ropes
