Cyber attacks will be the new pickpocketing, or bank heist of the 21st Century.  And Norton’s or MacAfee won’t be enough to stop it. But local Indigenous man, Stewart Stacey, has started his new venture, Binary Security, to get out in front of this brave new world, and protect your information.

I started Binary Security to not only become a successful Cyber Security Consulting company but to advocate for and champion Indigenous participation in technology-based fields such as Cyber Security,” owner Stewart Stacey said.

There is a news story about a cybersecurity breach or hack nearly weekly.  And these stories tell the tale of business that has suffered terribly because of it. It should be a welcome addition to the local Darwin business landscape that a new local hero has established a cybersecurity business.  Binary Security is here to take the fight to the hackers and join the battle to protect your online information and data.

Cyberattacks against businesses are getting more sophisticated making it extremely difficult for business owners to maintain an effective security posture. Since 2017, up to 66% of small to medium-size businesses do not survive a data breach and cease operating.

Stewart Stacey, an indigenous cybersecurity consultant with a proven track record, is one of the good guys.  He is using his unique skill set to defend against cyberattacks and has headquartered his cybersecurity business in Darwin.

Binary Security is a finalist in the inaugural Barayamal Accelerator program and is poised to become a leader in the thriving Indigenous businesses sector which currently contributes more than $2 billion annually to Australia’s GDP.
