Life’s An Adventure, who offer multi-day, pack-free walking tours in Australia, NZ and Europe today launch “FlexiWalk” – an exciting new tour add-on that allows customers to cancel their trip last minute and not be penalised – no questions asked!
Exclusively designed by Life’s An Adventure, and a first for Australian tourism, FlexiWalk gives customers certainty in a time of uncertainty.
“Corona virus has changed the way we run our tours and our business,” says Life’s An Adventure owner Mark Norek. “In some ways, travel has always been subject to unforeseeable disruptions like volcano’s, terrorism or bushfires. But, this has been such a global event. The disruption to tourism and travel, as a result of Covid-19, has left many travellers out-of-pocket or having to reschedule tours to distant dates that might or might not be suitable for them. What we wanted to do was alleviate any questions in the future, and offer the opportunity of a refund, due to any circumstance and with no questions asked.”
Mark explained that the decision to introduce FlexiWalk was also driven by experience. As an Australian based company, with walking tours in all states and territories (except the ACT), Life’s An Adventure finds the majority of its domestic clients do not take out travel insurance. And yet, many suffer injury or illness a week out from their departure and are unable to join an active, bushwalking adventure tour such as that offered by Life’s An Adventure.
“Across our industry, a standard booking agreement simply does not cover a last minute need to cancel or reschedule,” Mark explains. “Our new FlexiWalk add-on allows people to cancel or reschedule just 96 hours out from their travel date. In some cases, it is cheaper than travel insurance and it gives our clients who book a tour 12 – 18 months ahead the flexibility to rebook should things change. The other beauty of FlexiWalk is it’s ‘no questions asked’.”
Despite future travel still being a largely unknown factor, FlexiWalk means there is nothing to stop customers planning and booking an adventure today, knowing that if things change their money is not lost.
How does FlexiWalk work?
When you book one of Life’s An Adventure’s eligible tours you have the option to choose a “Flexiwalk” add-on. For just 10% extra this add-on allows you to cancel your tour up to 96 hours prior to departure and get back 100% of the cost.
If you cancel and choose to just move your tour to a future date you will receive a 100% credit towards your new tour and you won’t pay a $200 rebooking fee.
If you choose a cash refund you will receive 80% back which will be paid back into your account within two weeks of your cancellation.
FlexiWalk is available on normal priced tickets only and is available on most of the company’s Australian tours.
Customers can also cancel a tour more than once, however the second and any consecutive cancellation will incur a $200 rebooking fee per person for each cancellation and rebook.
