In July, The Star Sydney will be celebrating the opening of its newest restaurant CHUUKA. Set at Sydney’s iconic Jones Bay Wharf waterfront, it will be home to a new cuisine, one that you’ve never tasted before yet tastes vaguely familiar – created by Executive Chefs Chase Kojima and Victor Liong. We’ll also be revering in the deep, rich flavours of truffles this month. Our signature dining restaurants have crafted dishes from entrée’s through to desserts using the ‘black diamonds of the Earth’.

CHUUKA Opening on Wednesday, 3rd July 2019

On Wednesday, 3rd July The Star Sydney will open its newest signature dining outlet and first off-property venue – CHUUKA.

Located at Sydney’s iconic Jones Bay Wharf waterfront, CHUUKA is designed to defy expectations with a menu that delivers unique delights and combinations. In addition to a dedicated raw menu and roe service, guests can choose from a selection of shared plates that offer a variety of tastes, textures and techniques, bringing the CHUUKA concept to life.

The kitchen will be led by award-winning chefs Chase Kojima and Victor Liong. Offering a unique blend of Chinese flavours, Japanese precision and Australian produce, CHUUKA is set to bring a whole new flavour to Sydney.

Discover and indulge in winter’s culinary gem, the exquisite truffle, as The Star Sydney celebrates Truffle Month across its multi award-winning signature dining destinations.

The intoxicating aromas and stunning flavours of the truffle are set to entice The Star Sydney, The Star Gold Coast and Treasury Brisbane from July 1 – August 31 with meticulously crafted truffle-infused menus.

At The Star Sydney, signature dining restaurants; Sokyo, BLACK Bar & Grill, Flying Fish plus Fat Noodle will be offering dishes with this exquisite ingredient.

WOMEN IN WINE DINNER SERIES AT BLACK BAR & GRILL BLACK Bar & Grill | Tuesday, 6th August 6:30pm

In February, BLACK Bar & Grill and Gourmet Traveller WINE launched the first of the Women in Wine Dinner Series.

Co-hosted by Gourmet Traveller WINE, the four-part dinner series will showcase some of the best female winemakers across the country.

Join us on the 6th August for the third instalment in the series as we invite co-founder and winemaker, Fran Austin from Delamere Vineyards in Tasmania to host an intimate three-course dinner with matching wines.

Fran Austin and BLACK Bar & Grill’s Sommelier, Anke Wellendorf and Executive Chef, Dany Karam will guide guests through all the wines and the menu designed to match.

$225 per person – three courses and matching wines
