This week’s instalment of Tokoriki Island Resort’s ‘Heart & Soul’ series features the resort’s Concierge and renowned serenader, Josua Lailai.
Josua has worked for Fiji’s most awarded adults-only boutique island resort for 10 years; his wife is a member of the housekeeping department; and together they play an instrumental role in Tokoriki Island Resort’s operation.
In the capacity of Concierge, Josua perpetually impresses guests with his informative nature walks, his knowledge of medicinal plants, and facts about the history and culture of Fiji.
With a voice like Louis Armstrong and an impressive repertoire of songs, he has also captured guests’ hearts as a member of the resident Tokoriki Island Resort band. To enable guests to take the sounds of Tokoriki home with them, Josua recorded a Tokoriki Band CD, which is available for purchase at the resort and is particularly popular with returnee guests.
According to Josua, Tokoriki is an island with soul and he is proud to make himself part of each guest’s journey by offering both a high standard of service and a high standard of love.
