Part seven of Tokoriki Island Resort’s ‘Heart & Soul’ series features returnee guest, Kate Richardson, an avid Tokoroki fan who has stayed at the award-winning resort 23 times.http://www.tourismlegal.com.au/

Kate and her husband Shane return to their “island paradise” year after year because it’s the one place they can truly relax together and leave feeling completely rejuvenated.

Kate puts this down to the resort staff and the fact that from the moment guests arrive, everyone on the island – from the hosts to the gardeners – remembers their names and story and makes them feel special.

On Kate and Shane’s tenth return trip to Tokoriki Island Resort, the team held a tree-planting ceremony in their honour and on every visit since, the couple have visited “their tree” to see how much it has grown and to reflect on all the good times they’ve had on the island.

While the Richardsons are vocal about the benefits they reap from their regular trips to Tokoriki, they’re much more humble about their contribution to the resort’s rugby team.

Shane Richardson is the General Manager of the South Sydney Rabbitohs Rugby League Club and has generously donated Rabbitohs rugby gear to the Tokoriki Rugby team.

The resort  sponsors the ‘Turnbull’s 7’, which is a regional rugby 7’s tournament by providing prizes, trophies and transfers for participating teams from the mainland and neighbouring islands and Shane attends this annual event as special guest.
