UTracks, Australia’s leading active Europe specialist, has launched a seven day ‘Sweden Northern Lights and Ice Hotel’ multi activity itinerary enabling travellers to immerse themselves in the winter wonderland of the Swedish Arctic Circle and hopefully be mesmerised by the dazzling Northern Lights.And whilst the lights are a compelling draw card for visiting Sweden in winter, there is so much more to do and explore.

“I was amazed how the limited daylight hours do not restrict the Swedish from living a very active life with their culture laced through every experience from sipping warm lingonberry drink or Arctic-style Fika (Swedish coffee) to tasting Reindeer meat and devouring mouth-watering cinnamon buns at every opportunity,” Ms Baker said.
Departing daily between 15 December and 31 March, the ideal time to view the Northern Lights, the highlights of this incredible adventure include a visit to the Abisko National Park where the Aurora Sky Station offers the optimal conditions for viewing the Aurora Borealis, time in a Sámi Camp to witness the traditional lifestyle of the indigenous Sámi people and experience the exhilaration of dog sledding through alpine woods and across frozen lakes. The journey concludes with a two night stay at the original Ice Hotel, where you have the option to stay in an Ice Room, created by artists each winter.
