In early December 2019, World Council of Credit Unions will return to Kenya in service work and to share the holiday spirit with the Busia orphanage in Kenya. We continue to spread the message of Busia — the orphanage that credit unions built. We will be traveling December 1-6.

Daily Schedule Service Trip to Busia Orphanage – Busia, Kenya December 1-6, 2019

Sunday, Dec. 1 – Arrive in Nairobi, check-in to airport hotel and meet as a group that evening for meal/briefing.

Monday, Dec. 2 – Fly to Kisumu, Kenya, with overland transportation to Busia – check into Busia hotel/dinner All flights are between Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport (NBO) and Kisumu (KIS) Airport. Accomodation at the Quill Hotel in Busia.

Tuesday & Wednesday, Dec. 3 & 4: Project work at Busia, Lunch provided, Dinner at the Quill

Thursday, December 5 – Project work at Busia; Holiday lunch/dinner and celebration with the children, teachers and Santa.

Friday December 6 – Depart Busia (visit orphanage) for Kisumu-Nairobi and flights back home by midday. Arrive in Nairobi and dinner that evening at airport hotel.

The registration cost for this Engagement Trip is $1120. Registration includes all land transportation, meals, construction/project materials and a Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions donation. In addition, participants are responsible for their own airfare, hotel accommodations, Visa costs and inoculations for travel. World Council will provide a Visa invitation letter for this trip and will host a pre-trip webinar of items to “know before you go.”
