Curious minds will be congregating at Mantra South Bank, Brisbane from March 20 to 24, 2019 for World Science Festival Brisbane, now part of Curiocity Brisbane.

Mantra South Bank has signed a three-year deal to be the Festival’s official accommodation partner for the five-day celebration in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Mantra South Bank provides the perfect base for the Festival’s myriad of curious science, technology and the arts encounters across Brisbane.

This year, all World Science Festival Brisbane ticket holders are entitled to a 10 percent discount at Mantra Hotels properties in Brisbane. Discounted accommodation can be booked at www.mantrahotels.com using the promo code WSFB at all Brisbane properties.

From the South Bank Cultural Precinct, where the hotel is located, to the creative hub centred around the Brisbane Powerhouse in New Farm, Brisbane city will be transformed throughout this period.

Mantra South Bank General Manager, Sally Phipps, said the team are delighted to be a part of this major event which challenges thinking in the fields of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

“Some of the world’s most brilliant minds will come together in Brisbane to share details of cutting-edge research, ground-breaking discoveries and technological innovation in our evolving world,” said Ms Phipps.

“The depth of the event program has something for people of all ages as well as hands-on learning opportunities and a family-friendly street science program.

“Part of our’ philosophy revolves around being more curious and more connected with our guest’s experiences so we’re delighted to be a part of this major event.”

Queensland Museum Network Director and Chief Executive Officer Dr Jim Thompson said having the support of partners such as Mantra South Bank helps enhance the visitor experiences at World Science Festival Brisbane.

“Now in its fourth year, World Science Festival Brisbane explores and celebrates the entanglement of science and art through a curated program of thought-provoking conversations, inspiring theatrical and cinematic experiences, interactive workshops and engaging demonstrations; we would not be able to bring such an amazing event to Brisbane without the support of our partners,” said Dr Thompson.
