AYANA Hotels is pleased to announce the appointment of its senior management team member – General Manager of AYANA Resort ad Spa, BALI. The Bali-based integrated resort AYANA Resort and Spa, BALI with RIMBA Jimbaran BALI by AYANA and The Villas at AYANA Resort, BALI will be managed by Stefan Fuchs. The Flores-based resort will be managed by Nikolaus Priesnitz.
About Stefan Fuchs
Born and educated in Germany, Stefan completed his MBA degree in Hotel Management in 1999. He started his career in Food and Beverage. During his career, he was in charge of diverse catering projects all over Europe, including the EXPO 1998 in Lisbon, official government functions of the Federal Republic of Germany and Formula 1 Grand Prix events.
At the end of the 90s, his path led him to the Middle East and specifically to Qatar, where he headed the operations for the Islamic Conference and Asian Games in Doha (second largest sporting event in the world after the Olympic Games). He was part of the opening team of the Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Russia, Japan, China and Bahrain. Between 2006 and 2014 Stefan was with the Jumeirah Group.
Stefan has a true passion for innovation, and leads with an ability to inspire and instill passion in his team members on both an executive and front-of house level. He also had a massive part to play in managing multiple worldwide film productions that featured his previous properties, including the highly acclaimed Fast & Furious 7 which featured Etihad Towers in a magical trailer
scene.
More recently, notable stars and celebrities, including Pierce Brosnan amongst many others, have frequented the hotel both to be on production sets and for a leisurely escape. Stefan’s goal for AYANA is to facilitate its image as a strong and reliable luxury hospitality service provider both locally and internationally.
Finally, this year Stefan has scooped the Best Business Lead Hospitality Award in the GCC and Best General Manager Hospitality Award by CMO Asia in 2018.
