“Yibby’s is a unique and really exciting voice on the local scene.” – Life Without Andy

Following a colossal start to 2019, 19 year-old rapper Yibby today reveals a run of headline dates covering Melbourne, Sydney and Wollongong this September to celebrate the release.

From releasing his debut single in November last year, the ‘beast from the south-east’ has quickly accumulated fans in media, audiences and peers alike. His single ‘Folk’ pulled from his debut EP was added to spot rotation on triple j, as well as full adds on triple j Unearthed, FBi Radio, SYN Radio, 4ZZZ and EDGE Radio, and spins on Beats Radio 1. Yibby also left his mark on triple j’s Bars of Steel, was named in Acclaim’s series The New Locals and named as FBi Radio’s Independent Artist of the Week alongside praise from Sniffers, Life Without Andy and Purple Sneakers.

Filled with coming-of-age tales, the Lost in Translation EP cements Yibby’s arrival in the rap scene. Switching between chaotic tracks to slower, more laidback jams, Yibby is a chameleon of the genre; making it truly impossible to predict what’s next.

In less than ten months he’s supported Drapht, Arno Faraji, Milan Ring and Kuren as well as a show-stopping set at Bad Friday Festival.

Be sure to catch this talent live before he’s headlining festival stages.
