Rockin’ On the River

Now – August 7 (Recurring Weekly)

This 10-week outdoor summer concert series held every Wednesday night between June and August in Riverfront Park is a great opportunity for music lovers to not only indulge in their love for live music but to shop, dine and explore Downtown Troy. The free concert series attracts 5,000 to 8,000 guests per night which makes this a wonderful excuse to stay out and about on Wednesday night in Downtown Troy.

Saratoga Balloon and BBQ Festival

June 21 – June 23

The 6th Annual Saratoga Balloon and BBQ Festival is a family-friendly event celebrating the best of the capital region with food, live entertainment, shopping, activities for kids and lots of balloons. Book a hot air balloon ride in advance as they will be launching over the Adirondacks Mountains all weekend.

Pride On The Beach

June 21 – June 23

Long Island will kick off New York’s pride celebrations with Pride on the Beach. The three-day destination weekend will feature over 30+ LGBTQ events, including the festival’s 29th annual Pride Parade, the second annual Pet Pride Parade in collaboration with Animal Planet, concerts and parties.

Hudson Valley/NY Craft Beer, Food & Music Festival

The Hudson Valley Food & Music Festivals combines the best of NY beer, cider, food and music on the banks of the Hudson River with majestic views of the Hudson Valley. Over 40 breweries and cideries will be attendance with 10 food trucks and various outdoor activities.

Ellicottville’s Summer Music Festival

July 5 – 7

Head to Ellicottville where the Holiday Valley resort turns one of its fairways into an enormous outdoor concert venue. Shop from 50 artisan craft vendors and watch the annual pet parade. Later in the weekend, watch the Buffalo Philharmonic perform and end your Sunday with the stunning fireworks display.

Taste of Buffalo

July 13 – 14

More than 55 restaurants will take over downtown Buffalo with more than 450,000 visitors sample endless varieties of wine, food, and treats. There will also be local bands and DJs providing a lively soundtrack, cooking demonstrations and presentations on the Culinary Stage, and a “KidZone” just for the little ones.

The Lucille Ball Comedy Festival

August 7 – August 11

This annual celebration of laughter is always a big, funny deal. During the festival, there will be more than 50 events happening all over the city as part of the Comedy Festival, including a block party, neighborhood tours, intimate late-night shows, and headlining sets from John Mulaney and Sebastian Maniscalco.

Putnam County Wine & Food Festival

August 10 – August 11

At the Putnam County Wine & Food Festival you’ll be able to enjoy the best wines and spirits plus live music, chef demonstrations, and great food. The ninth annual festival will offer sample ciders, spirits and wines from New York’s most renowned producers. Bring the whole family as there will be arts and crafts, exhibits, and two full days of live entertainment.

The Great New York State Fair

August 21 – September 2

There’s never a dull moment at the Great New York State Fair, with the midway packed with amazing rides, the fabulous nightly concerts, the adorable animal shows and displays, and so much to eat and drink. Sample delights like delectable meats from Dinosaur BBQ, wine slushies from New York vineyards, and, of course, deep-fried everything.
