October sees The Lost Gardens of Heligan celebrate the most important event in its gardening year with its annual Heligan Harvest Event.

With the traditional principles of farming, food provenance, sustainability and taste at the forefront of Heligan’s culinary being, expect an exciting programme of talks, demonstrations and tasters as the Gardens and Estate unite in bringing the bounty of produce and traditional skills together in a weeklong Harvest celebration.

“While we look to produce flowers, meat, vegetables and fruit for every season, Harvest is the pinnacle of our gardening year. It’s a time that we all get together to pay tribute to fruitfulness, abundance and all the natural bounty nurtured by everybody at Heligan over the past 12 months, from the gardens and woodlands to the farm. It’s a proper celebration!”Alasdair Moore, Head of Gardens and Estate.

From the 6th-14th October The Lost Gardens of Heligan invites you to take a journey through their year and immerse yourself in every aspect of the Estate’s efforts. Productive Garden and Farm tours will give you the chance to meet and talk to the formidable team behind Heligan’s success. Whilst daily demos talks and tasters will give you the opportunity to sample some of the unique and heritage flavours coming from within the grounds.
