Melco is pleased to support the 27th Quadripartite Conference on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) co-organized by Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) and Macau Construction Safety Association held at Studio City, Macau, between October 15-17, 2019. The three-day event was attended by more than 400 representatives including government officials from the region, experts, researchers, management professionals and practitioners in the field of OSH, with the aim to promote regional exchange, interaction and cooperation.

Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Chairman and CEO of Melco said, “Since the establishment of Melco’s OSH policy in 2008, ensuring the safety of our employees, guests and contractors has been our top priority. As such, we are honored to support this prominent regional OSH event co-organized by DSAL and Macau Construction Safety Association for broader dialogue between related organizations and persons, to contribute to the sharing of the latest updates in OSH, and to collaboratively shape a safer and healthier work environment for all.”

In addition to the program of seminars and structured discussions, conference attendees were invited to exclusively tour Studio City in small groups, visiting OSH facilities available at the integrated resort’s front operations and employee-only “Heart-of-House” areas. Mr. Wong Chi Hong, Director of DSAL and other of the Bureau’s representatives were among the guests joining the guided tours.

Established in 2008, Melco’s OSH Policy evidences the company’s pledge to compliance with legal requirements, prevention of injuries and illnesses, and continual improvement in OSH to safeguard employees, guests and contractors.
