W1 Hospitality Pty Ltd, owner of the Historic Warders Cottages W1 (Block 1) has completed an extensive ground up refurbishment of the iconic Fremantle property to create a multifaceted boutique hospitality venue. The Warders Hotel includes 11 luxuriously appointed hotel rooms, the 220 seat Emily Taylor Bar and Kitchen and the 15 seat Gimlet Aperitivo Bar.

The Cottages have been given a complete makeover to create a tribute to the extensive heritage background of the cottages within the Fremantle Prison Convict Establishment. New marble bathrooms and high-end furnishings within sound proof rooms ranging from 30 to 40 square metre overlook the hustle and bustle of the historic town centre of Fremantle.

For the first time, these cottages will include state of the art technology with QR room service menu on standby, AV requirements galore, and an Aussie first, still and sparkling water on tap directly to your room. Luxury room amenities, small kitchenettes, and complementary mini bar, breakfast and cocktail hour, are just some of the inclusions in the Warders Hotel room rates.

“While our guests will be attracted to the Hotel’s central Fremantle location, many are looking for that little extra in service and amenity. Not to mention, staying in the hotel rooms will give you a very real sense of life back in the 1850s. Stepping into the rooms is like stepping back in time.” Warders Hotel General Manager Timothy Buckton said.

“The Hotel guests will also experience a few little extras like VIP access into the Emily Taylor Bar and Restaurant, cocktails in the evening, barista coffee and homemade pastries each morning in our cosy Gimlet, Aperitivo Bar & Cafe”.

Emily Taylor Bar & Kitchen is an inspired high spiced street food concept, with a variety of tastes from different parts of Asia. From Peking Duck to Thai style curries, the menu is accessible, fast paced and finely tuned by executive chef Aldren Teo. Director of W1 Hospitality, Patrick Prendiville, said “On arrival, guests will be surrounded by a real sense of cultural heritage while enjoying the best that modern hospitality can offer.

Our style of service has been created to maximise the interaction between guests and staff and between guests and the surrounding community. Through this, one can’t help but experience something uniquely Fremantle.”.

“The Warders Hotel is situated next to Perth’s most popular tourist destination, The Fremantle Markets. One step outside and you are caught up in Fremantle’s amazing  attractions from boutique shops to street buskers to the port ferries and Rottnest Island. You will not be bored. Then after a day out, return to the luxury of the Warders Hotel. What could be better?” he said.

Fremantle has been recognised as one of Australia’s leading and most innovative tourism precincts, with Lonely Planet listing the port city as number seven in the best cities in the world to visit in 2016.
